KTIB sign

John Knowlden and Jon Titlow first formed Knowlden Titlow in 1992 and traded from the humble confines of their small offices in Silver Road, Norwich. Their aim was to offer a very unique face to face personal service for owner managed companies in East Anglia, but with the same level of professional knowledge as might be expected form a large corporate broking business.

Through hardwork they achieved an organic growth far exceeding their initial expectations. This was proof there was a need for a bespoke commercial insurance broking business operating from Norwich, that was also able to manage clients all over the UK and beyond. In 2003 they developed their own paperless back office insurance system which was so efficient it has since been sold to three other insurance businesses in East Anglia.

In May 2012 the Company moved to what is arguably the most
prestigious business location in Norfolk, Lakeside 300 on Broadland Business Park (conveniently located just off the A47 and just a few miles outside Norwich city centre) and at the same time rebranded as KTIB Insurance Brokers. Our offices are bright and contemporary and reflect our dynamic and vibrant business culture.

Management of clients claims has always been an intrinsic part of the company's ethos, and this was acknowledged by the Insurance Industry when Knowlden Titlow won "Claims Service of the Year" at the 2010 UK Broker Awards.

To secure the company's future Robin Plaster was welcomed as controlling shareholder in 2010. Robin's plan is for KTIB to become a major force in the UK Insurance Market through continued organic growth, scheme business development and acquisitions.

The new board of KTIB embrace the old and new but never lose sight of the values that have remained the backbone of the business since its inception.
